Our preterminated shelves offer flexibility and options in fiber management because they can be configured in several different builds, such as direct termination onto connectors or pre-spliced, using OFNR or indoor/outdoor cables. These shelf units can be stacked two high or three high and terminated with one high-count fiber cable in order to gain efficient use of building chases and raceways.
Desired connector capacity options, such as the standard 72 and 96 connectors per shelf, or the high-density 144-shelf units, are available. The management of a high volume of jumpers within the high-density shelf is accomplished through a unique fiber routing control (FRC) system that guarantees no attenuation of the high-speed services provisioned through these connections (Standard in TSX units only). The relay rack capacity for the standard shelf is nine units per 7-foot bay and for the high-density shelf is seven units per bay.
